After finishing first in their fall 09 bracket, winning Norcal State Cup Gold Division, and being a finalist in Stanford Turf Cup, the Azzuri staff decided the team should play in the older U14G bracket in D2 Spring.  Last spring, Azzuri played a group of class-3 teams which was better for these teams but it wasn't as helpful for Azzuri development.  D2 Spring season is viewed as a development season in preparation for fall 2010.
