6.05.09 Azzuri Fall to Dynamite on Late Goal!
The Azzuri fell to the MVLA Dynamite in a friday evening tilt at Hillview Field, 1-0, on a Dynamite goal in the waning minutes of the game. The Azzuri battled hard, particularly the defense, and played the defending D2 Cup champion MVLA Dynamite even for virtually the entire game until a late goal broke the nearly 2 game scoring drought by each team against the other (the two teams played to a 0-0 tie in San Carlos in early May 2009). The loss broke a 6 game undefeated streak (4-0-2) by the Azzuri vs. the MVLA franchise (Blizzard, Spirit, Dynamite) in league and tournament play dating back to August 2008.
The Azzuri fell to 1-5-2 in NorCal Premier League Spring action!
